CLUB FOUNDATION AUCTIONS A HUGE SUCCESS
ALEXANDRIA, VA – April
20, 2006 –The Club
Foundation is pleased to announce that
its tenth annual benefit auctions raised
more than $40,000 for education and scholarly
purposes. Both
the silent and live auctions were held
at the recent Club Managers Association
of America (CMAA) World Conference
on Club Management in Honolulu, HI.
The
Club Foundation Live Auction was held
on the afternoon of March 1 and was conducted
by Duane Troyer of Troyer & Associates,
based in Goshen, Indiana. The Silent
Auction took on a new format by going
completely online. Bidding opened on
January 16, 2006 and closed during the
CMAA Conference on February 28, 2006.
More
than 110 items were available for bid
in the auctions, including unique trips
to destinations such as Napa Valley,
Hilton Head and Boca Raton. One-of-a-kind
sports memorabilia signed by Phil Simms,
Michele Wie and Donovan McNabb, golf
cars and equipment, linens, jewelry and
china were also up for bid. A complete

donors is below.
All
proceeds from the annual auctions benefit
The Club Foundation’s Scholarship
and Grant Program and its education fund.
The
Club Foundation, a 501 (c)(3) organization,
was established by CMAA in 1988. Its
mission is to raise funds to financially
support the professional development of
club managers through education, training
and research initiatives.
