| LINDSEY HAYFORD RECIPIENT OF THE CLUB FOUNDATION SCHOLARSHIP | Alexandria.

| The
Club Foundation is delighted to announce that Ms. Lindsey Hayford
recipient of a $2,500 student scholarship for the 2003-2004 academic
year. The Club Foundation awards student scholarships annually to
those individuals actively pursuing a managerial career in the private
club industry. Scholarship recipients are selected by The Club Foundation
Allocation Committee (CFAC) and subsequently approved by its Board
of Governors.
Lindsey Hayford, a senior attending Boston University, is majoring in Hospitality Administration with a minor in Accounting. Hayford was the 2002-2003 treasurer for the Diner's Club and a member of the Eta Sigma Delta Hospitality Management Honor Society. Furthermore, she volunteers with the Siblings Program as a mentor for an elementary school student and as an accounting tutor for financial and managerial accounting. In addition, Hayford is trained in Food Safety and Sanitation and TIPS. She is also a recipient of the 2003 David Meader Scholarship from the New England Club Managers Association. Hayford truly enjoys the unique relationships that exist between members and club employees and looks forward to a career within the private club industry. The Club Foundation, a 501(c)(3) organization, was established by CMAA in 1988. Its mission is to raise funds to financially support the professional development of club managers through education, training and research initiatives. |
