| THE CLUB FOUNDATION ELECTS NEW GOVERNOR |

The
Club Foundation is pleased to announce the election of John L. Garrison,
Jr., president of E-Z-Go Textron, Inc., to its Board of Governors.
The election was held at The Club Foundation's annual meeting, February
5, 2003, during the Club Managers Association of America (CMAA)
World Conference on Club Management in Miami Beach, FL.
Mr. Garrison has 20 years of managerial and operating experience and his career includes positions with Azurix Corporation where he was chairman, president, and CEO; Case Corporation's North American Agricultural Group where he held the position of vice president and general manager; and Case's Agricultural Systems Group where he also was it's vice president and general manager. Furthermore, Mr. Garrison received a BS in Engineering from the United States Military Academy, as well as an MBA from Harvard University. Additional changes to the board include Mr. L.T. Walden, Jr., having fulfilled his term, becoming a governor emeritus. Finally, Mr. George P. Carroll, CCM, Mr. Jay DiPietro, CCM, Mr. John Sullivan, and Mr. Thomas J. Sargeant were re-elected to their positions as Chairman, Vice-Chairman, Secretary, and Treasurer, respectively. Tralies, Club Car, Inc., Evans, GA. The emeritus members on the Board of Governors are: Kenneth Brown, CCM, Brown Management, Inc., Treasure Island, FL; Robert Don, Edward Don & Company, North Riverside, IL; George Gasser, Gasser Chair Company, Inc., Youngstown, OH; G. Mead Grady, CCM, Atlanta, GA; L.T. "Bud" Hall, MCM, H & H Consultants, Denver, CO; A. Graham McDeson, MCM, Charlotte, NC; W.R. "Red" Steger, CCM, Houston, TX,; and L.T. Walden, Jr., E-Z-Go Division of Textron, Inc., Augusta, GA. The Club Foundation, a 501(c)(3) organization, was established by CMAA in 1988. Its mission is to raise funds for to financially support the professional development of club managers through education, training and research initiatives. The Club foundation has an educational endowment of $3 million, from which is makes educational, scholarship and internship grants and awards. Additionally, The Club Foundation has, since its inception, awarded a little over $1.3 million through its Scholarship and Grant Program in the form of individual scholarships to students, grants to CMAA student chapters on 33 university campuses nationally, faculty research grants, and faculty internships. |
