The Club Foundation’s Live Auction Event

Since the last 2 years’ Live Auctions were such successes, we are going for a repeat performance in 2010! As in New Orleans, the Live Auction will be a wonderful gala type event. A magnificent assortment of foods will be prepared in a station format providing many different dishes and ample mingling space. Combined with our careful selection of music you can dance the evening away while bidding on some very special auction items. Remember this auction has two parts, a silent and a live component so you can compete your way. Last year, this event had over 500 people in attendance, 30 very special, hand picked auction items, and raised over $50,000 for The Club Foundation. We want San Diego to be bigger and better - please don’t miss the excitement!

The event will be held on Friday, February 12 at 6:30pm. Tickets are $150 per person and can be purchased as part of your conference registration or separately. Be sure to register early on your Conference Registration Form. Be there for this exciting event – wonderful food and some dancing and bidding against fellow CMAA members will make for a memorable evening!

Proceeds from all the special events at Conference all provide essential funds to The Club Foundation’s Grant and Scholarship Programs. These programs include Joe Perdue Scholarships for undergraduate hospitality students focused in club management (over 150 awarded); Willmore H. Kendall Scholarships for those assistant managers pursuing their CCM (funds for BMI course requirements plus the exam); Chapter Workshop Grants awarded annually to one (1) chapter in each category (small, medium, and large) for a total of three (3) at $4,000 a grant; and many other CMAA administered programs plus additional industry related causes. Many of you and your close colleagues have benefited from dollars the Foundation has given – be sure to support these events so that future CMAA leaders can benefit as well
