Club Foundation has distributed more
than $3.5 million to support the professional
development of club managers since
its inception in 1998.
Scholarships
Willmoore H. Kendall Scholarship – Intended
for club managers seeking their certified
club manager designation (CCM). This
scholarship pays for registration
to BMI I, BMI II, BMI III, Certification
Review Course, study guide and the
CCM exam fees.

Joe Perdue Scholarships – Provides
tuition assistance to undergraduate students
pursuing a career in club management.
- 137 scholarships awarded since 1988

Grants
Business Management Institutes
(BMI) – Offers all core
skills needed to perform as a club manager.
Funds have been allocated for both the
development and maintenance of curricula
for all BMI courses.
- CMAA BMI tuition
rates at < $2,000
- Comparable programs at $5,000 and up
- More than $100,000 annually spent in
creation and enhancements to curricula
Member Services – Provides
CMAA members with essential resources to
do their jobs more effectively. Funds allocated
to help control Association costs and member
fees, etc.
- Over $250,000 towards maintaining free
website access for all CMAA members
Conference Education – Offers
relevant educational programs to members
attending the annual CMAA World Conference
on Club Management.
Chapter
Workshop Grant Program – Offers
a complementary workshop to CMAA chapters
funded by the Foundation. Chapters are
chosen at random each year at World Conference.
- Three (3) Chapters
annually – one
(1) small, one (1) medium, and one (1)
large

Club Careers Coaching – Funds
from the Foundation provide CMAA members
with confidential career/life guidance.
Research
Faculty Research Grants – Provides
funds for industry-specific research projects
that promote the best interests of the
club management profession.

Golf 20/20 – Initiative
created by key organizations in the golf
industry to drive goals and objectives
over the next decades within the industry.
The Foundation has committed to assist
in funding this activity.
Environmental
Institute of Golf – The
philanthropic arm of GCSAA is committed
to strengthening the compatibility of the
game of golf with our natural environment.
Academia
Student Chapter Programs – Provides
funds for CMAA student chapter members
to attend World Conference. In addition,
we provide resources and materials from
Premier Club Services (PCS) for students
to enhance their knowledge of the club
environment.

Services subscriptions for all student
chapters – 40 annually
Faculty Internship – Increases
the club management expertise among hospitality
educators and provides them with the tools
necessary to enhance their existing curricula
to include Club Management.
- 31 Internships for Hospitality faculty
members teaching club management courses

Other Significant Funding Areas
Awards Program – Creates
an incentive for all chapters to engage
in CMAA activities, whether it’s
Chapter of the Year or Excellence in Education.
The Foundation funds grants for all of
these awards.
National
Club Championship – Provides
CMAA with a vehicle to promote the club
management profession and its importance
to the community.
