In 1997, The Club Foundation began distributing its first grants from its $3 million endowment fund. In order to guide the grant making process, The Club Foundation had developed seven educational initiatives during the Campaign for Excellence to help donors understand how endowment funds would be used.

Today, the club industry is directly benefiting from the professional development opportunities made possible by The Club Foundation's endowment. Once again, though, the Foundation's leaders want to do more to support club managers and the club industry.
