Update
Going once, going twice…
The Club Foundation held
its eighth Annual Benefit Auctions at the CMAA World Conference
on Club Management in New Orleans, LA in February of 2005. The
Foundation puts on this yearly event to raise money for its
Scholarship and Grant Program. Combined, in 2005, the
Silent and Live Auctions raised over $55,000 for this indispensable
program.
The
Club Foundation Silent Auction, which was held at the New
Orleans Marriott was open for bidding on Monday, February
28 and Tuesday, March 1. The Club Foundation Live Auction
was held on Wednesday, March 2, and was conducted by professional
auctioneer Duane Troyer of Troyer & Associates, based
in Goshen, Indiana. The fun and energetic atmosphere
of the live auction encouraged fast paced bidding with friendly
competition among participants.
Between the silent and
live auctions, more than 120 items were up for bid, including
unique trips to destinations such as the Carolinas, California
and Irelandand golfing at renowned private courses around
the world. Memorabilia signed by famous sports figures,
new golf cars, and items for use in both the club and home,
such as furniture, linens, computer software and china were
also auctioned. All of the items and packages were
graciously donated by vendors, CMAA chapters, members and

The Club Foundation is
extremely grateful for the generosity of the donors and the
many participants that helped to make the 2005 Benefit Auctions
a success. Without all of their support, the Auctions
would not be possible. Thank you! |
