My past year as Chairman of The Club Foundation has been quite rewarding. During 2004, two significant milestones were reached. First, TheCampaign to Promote Excellence. . .Yesterday, Today and Tomorrow recently surpassed the halfway mark in our pursuit of the $4.5 million goal. Furthermore, the second annual National Club Championship (NCC) was an exceptional golf tournament as club champions from around the world competed on world-class courses at Kiawah Island Resort. As a result of these activities, funds will continue to provide support for existing and new educational programs focused on the club industry.
The Campaign to Promote Excellence. . .Yesterday, Today and Tomorrow was launched in response to club managers’ requests for additional continuing education opportunities as well as, more scholarships and grants. Therefore, the resources from the Campaign are being used to support existing programs, and to help fund development of new programs.
